MOTION TO ENACT Ordinance adopting a Small-Scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan map (PC 26-2), located in the City of Parkland (Commission District 3), as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL-SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE CITY OF PARKLAND; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
Pursuant to Section 163.3184(11), Florida Statutes, as amended, Broward County Comprehensive Plan amendments shall be adopted by Ordinance by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, serving as the local governing body.

The Ordinance adopts Broward County Land Use Plan Small-Scale map amendment PC 26-2, in accordance with Section 163.3187(1), Florida Statutes, as amended.

Summary Explanation/Background
The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed small-scale amendment, PC 26-2, at its June 25, 2026, public hearing and recommended approval subject to the City of Parkland’s voluntary commitment to mitigate the anticipated impacts to the regional transportation network resulting from the proposed amendment, and including not requiring a second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 14-0; Abramson, Brunson, Fernandez, Geller, Gomez, Greenberg, Hardin, Horland, Levy, Newbold, Railey, Rosenof, Ryan and Castillo):
AMENDMENT PC 26-2
Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Parkland
From 25.3 acres of Low (3) Residential and 8.7 acres of Irregular (4.2) Residential within a Dashed-Line Area to Commerce
Approximately 34.0 acres; generally located west of Nob Hill Road/Coral Ridge Drive, north of Heron Bay Boulevard.
