Summary Explanation/Background
In conducting a routine review of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (“Code”), the County Attorney’s Office noted that a few provisions of the Code use terminology that may not fully reflect the intent and effect of those provisions or otherwise refer to programs and policies that no longer exist. Such outdated terminology is being revised to more accurately reflect the intent and effect of these provisions and to avoid any misperception regarding these provisions.
The County Attorney’s Office has coordinated with the County Administrator to ensure that notice of this proposed Ordinance was published ten days prior to this public hearing so that the Board can consider immediate enactment of the proposed Ordinance.
