A. Summary Explanation/Background
Previously, the Board entered into legislative and executive lobbying agreements for state lobbying services with the following consultants: (1) Ericks Consultants, Inc.; (2) Ronald L. Book; (3) Arrow Group (formerly Anfield Consulting Group); (4) Ballard Partners; (5) Pittman Law Group; (6) Tripp Scott, P.A.; (7) PinPoint Results, LLC; (8) Floridian Partners; and (9) Capital City Consulting. On September 20, 2022, the Board extended those agreements through September 30, 2023, and authorized two additional one-year extensions.
On November 2, 2024, the Board approved an Agreement with Greenberg Traurig, P.A., for federal legislative and executive branch lobbying services for an annual not-to-exceed amount of $60,000, effective from May 1, 2021, through September 30, 2025, with two one-year extensions.
If this item is approved, the County Administrator will be authorized to enter into new agreements with the firms listed in Motion A for the period from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026, as well as two additional one-year extensions, at the monthly rates identified in Exhibit 1. The County Administrator would also be authorized to execute an amendment to the existing agreement with Greenberg Traurig to also include state legislative and executive branch lobbying services at no additional cost to the County, effective commencing October 1, 2025.
