MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on February 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East, to consider adoption of a proposed Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT FEES; AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 40 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE (“ADMINISTRATIVE CODE”), UPDATING FEES CHARGED FOR SERVICES CONSISTENT WITH FEE STUDY; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The Broward County Charter requires the posting of notice and a public hearing for adoption of amendments to the Broward County Administrative Code.

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This item furthers the County Commission goal of “[c]onsistently delivering responsive, efficient, inclusive, and equitable quality services to the public and internal customers while providing a safe community to live, work and visit.”
The Resilient Environment Department (RED) and its numerous Divisions provide a variety of services to persons in Broward County. Based on RED’s fee study, concluded on November 4, 2024, it is necessary to update the fees in the Broward County Administrative Code for the services consistent with the current cost of providing the services.
