Summary Explanation/Background

THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

On October 21, 2020, the County and FFM entered into an Agreement for management of the Rental Car Center Fueling Facility at Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

On September 22, 2021, the County and FFM entered into a First Amendment to the Agreement (collectively, as amended, the “Agreement”), which established a mechanism for the County to authorize and reimburse FFM, in an amount not to exceed $100,000, for emergency services.

The Agreement expires on November 30, 2023. The proposed Second Amendment to the Agreement, if approved by the Board, will extend the term of the Agreement by one year at a maximum not-to-exceed cost of $1,047,364, which is the exact maximum not-to-exceed cost of the Agreement for the preceding year.

The proposed Second Amendment has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
