Summary Explanation/Background

THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This item supports the Board's goal of "ensuring accessible, seamlessly integrated investments in renewable energy, sustainable practices, manufacturing, resilient infrastructure, and environmental protection."

Pursuant to ERL No. DF23-1341, issued by the Public Works and Environmental Services Department on December 10, 2025, and ERP No. 06-112811-P, issued by the SFWMD on November 19, 2025, CC Homes at the Estates by Turnberry, LLC, is authorized to create a 78.8911-acre off-site wetland mitigation area and buffer area (see pages eight through 11 of Exhibit 1) to offset impacts of proposed development on Parcel Nos. 504016000050 and 504016000060 located along Shotgun Road in the Town of Davie. This authorization requires the conveyance of a Joint Deed of Conservation Easement (Exhibit 1) to the County and SFWMD, guaranteeing the mitigation and buffer areas’ perpetual preservation and maintenance by the grantor.

The Joint Deed of Conservation Easement was reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
