November 15, 2022 (Agenda Item No. 4) - The Board of County Commissioners authorized Broward County to enter into a lease agreement with Dickey Consulting Services, Inc. for the property located at 1033 Northwest 6 Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311, identified by Folio No. 494234078890. The agreement was recorded in the Official Records of Broward County on November 18, 2022, under Instrument No. 118526222.

 

Summary Explanation/Background

THE CULTURAL DIVISION, PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE REAL PROPERTY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

 

Hued Songs, Inc is a local cultural organization that produces arts programming throughout South Florida. The Broward County Cultural Division entered into a Grant Agreement with Hued Songs, Inc (“Grant Agreement”), which was executed on January 16, 2026, and provided a grant award amount of one hundred and ten thousand dollars ($110,000). The Grant Agreement runs from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.

 

Hued Songs will use funds from the Grant Agreement for arts programming and operational support at 1033 Northwest 6 Street in Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311. This Revocable License Agreement provides Hued Songs with a license to use property the County leases from Dickey Consulting Services, Inc., which is approximately 5,960 square feet at 1033 Northwest 6 Street in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311. The term of this Revocable License Agreement runs concurrently with the Grant Agreement.

 

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
