Summary Explanation/Background

The proposed Resolution amends the Broward County Administrative Code (“Administrative Code”) to reflect the reorganization of the Public Works Department and the Resilient Environment Department, now collectively known as the Public Works and Environmental Services Department. It also amends the Administrative Code to reflect the reorganization of the Housing Finance Division and the Urban Planning Division, now collectively known as the Housing and Urban Planning Division. In addition, the proposed Resolution includes several housekeeping amendments to relocate certain Parts and Chapters of the Administrative Code in order to effectuate the foregoing reorganization. The effective date of the proposed Resolution is October 1, 2025, to coincide with the County’s fiscal year.

 

Timely notice has been published in accordance with the applicable requirements to permit the Board’s consideration of the proposed Resolution.
