Summary Explanation/Background
COUNTY ADMINISTRATION, THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE PURCHASING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On December 12, 2023 (Item No. 54), the Board authorized the County Administrator or designee to approve and/or execute certain agreements, contract amendments, work authorizations, advertisement of competitive solicitations, and other documents during the 2023 Winter Recess that were listed on the provided Winter Recess Board Action List and any other items that the County Administrator determined approval or execution is in the best interest of the County and delaying action would adversely impact the County’s interests or day-to-day operations. The Board’s action also directed the County Administrator to provide a report to the Board identifying any action not listed on the Winter Recess Board Action List that imposes a financial obligation in excess of $500,000.
Exhibit 1 lists the one action taken by the County Administrator pursuant to that authority that was not listed on the Winter Recess Board Action List and that imposed a financial obligation in excess of $500,000. This project was determined to be in the best interest of the County and delaying action would have adversely impacted the County’s interests or day-to-day operations.
