Pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended, Broward County Comprehensive Plan amendments shall be adopted by Ordinance by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, serving as the local governing body.
What Action Accomplishes
The Ordinances adopt Broward County Land Use Plan map amendment PC 26-3, and corresponding text amendment PCT 26-2, in accordance with Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.

Summary Explanation/Background
The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed amendments, PC 26-3 and PCT 26-2, at its January 29, 2026, public hearing and recommended approval, including not requiring a second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 11-0; Abramson, Brunson, Fernandez, Fisher, Hardin, Levy, Newbold, Rosenof, Ryan, Zeman and DiGiorgio):
A. AMENDMENT PC 26-3
Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Fort Lauderdale
From 270.1 acres of Activity Center, 11.6 acres of Community, 5.8 acres of Low (5) Residential and 2.4 acres of Commerce to Activity Center.
Approximately 289.9 acres; generally located between Southwest 4 Avenue and US 1/Federal Highway, south of Southwest/Southeast 10 Street and north of State Road 84.
B. AMENDMENT PCT 26-2
Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan Text
Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan text corresponding to proposed Broward County Land Use Plan map amendment PC 26-3, in the City of Fort Lauderdale.
