THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/REAL PROPERTY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT TOGETHER WITH THE HIGHWAY BRIDGE MAINTENANCE AND THE HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISIONS RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This item relates to activities in the Broward Municipal Services District (BMSD), formerly known as Unincorporated Broward County. The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the BMSD and provides municipal services for the area.
The Resolution (Exhibit 1) will grant Broward County a 50-year Sovereignty Submerged Land Easement, effective August 25, 2013, with an expiration date of August 25, 2063, from the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida, on, over, across, and through a portion of real property located at NW 27th Avenue over the North Fork New River in the Broward Municipal Services District (refer to Exhibit 2 for the Location Map). The Sovereignty Submerged Land Easement (Exhibit 3) is required by Broward County for a public bridge and public transportation purposes.
The Resolution and Easement have been reviewed and approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.
