THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

Chapter 3½ of the Broward County Code of Ordinances identifies the process by which every person, firm, corporation, or association must abide to provide emergency medical services within Broward County, Florida.  The Consumer Protection Division acts as the designee of the County Administrator for the purposes of processing and reviewing applications for Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN), including Class 3 - BLS Transport services.  The application process and monitoring of certified agencies are further promulgated through the rules and regulations set forth in Chapter 3½ of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

The Consumer Protection Division has received and reviewed the application (Exhibit 2) from Angelet’s Non-Emergency Wheelchair Transport LLC and has found the above applicant to be in compliance with all County rules and regulations relating to the provisions of Class 3 - BLS Transport services.  The full applications, including exhibits, are maintained by the Consumer Protection Division.  The Consumer Protection Division will present the applications to the Board for its consideration during the public hearing scheduled for April 1, 2025.
