MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution amending the Broward County Administrative Code, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS; AMENDING CHAPTERS 2, 12, AND 13 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE (“ADMINISTRATIVE CODE”); RELATING TO THE NAME, DUTIES, AND MANAGER OF THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION; FURTHER AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE RELATING TO THE DUTIES OF THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Summary Explanation/Background
The purpose of these amendments is to update Chapters 2, 12, and 13 of the Administrative Code to reflect the County’s current organizational structure. The key elements of the amendments codify the organizational and name changes and clarify functional responsibilities as approved by the County Administrator for the Intergovernmental Affairs/Boards Section and the Office of Management and Budget. Finally, the amendments remove from the Administrative Code the job qualifications of the renamed Director to allow for flexibility without amending the Administrative Code.
