At its meeting on November 14, 2023, (Agenda Item No. 31), the Board directed the County Administrator to publish notice of this public hearing.

 

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

 

The Urban Planning Division has received a request to vacate a 10-foot-wide drainage easement lying in Lots 25 and 26, Block 46, of Coconut Creek 11th Section Plat, as recorded in Plat Book 74, Page 15 of the Official Records of Broward County, Florida, generally located approximately 180 feet north of the intersection of Coconut Creek Boulevard and Northwest 42nd Avenue in the City of Coconut Creek. Vacating this easement will provide clear and unencumbered title to the property owners.

 

The City of Coconut Creek adopted Ordinance No. 2023-099 on June 22, 2023, granting approval of the abandonment and vacation of a ten-foot-wide drainage easement lying with Lots 25 and 26, Block 46, of Coconut Creek 11th Section Plat.

 

Review of this application by the applicable reviewing agencies indicates that there is no objection to the vacation of the subject ten-foot-wide drainage easement.

 

This vacation application has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney (Exhibit 1).
