Summary Explanation/Background
THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action approves the First Amendment to the Terminal Building Lease Agreement (“TBLA”).
On April 7, 2020 (Item No. 2), the Board approved the TBLA between the County and Skyfuel Aviation Services of Fort Lauderdale, LLC (“Skyfuel”) to lease and use 135 square feet of office space, Ramp Level in Terminal 4, to provide services to airlines at FLL.
On June 13, 2021, the Director of Aviation consented to an assignment of the TBLA from Skyfuel to PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. (“PrimeFlight”) which resulted in PrimeFlight becoming the Lessee under the TBLA.
The proposed First Amendment allows PrimeFlight to lease and use 131 square feet of office space in Terminal 4, Concourse G, Ramp Level, 516 square feet of office space in Terminal 3, Arrival Level, and 456 square feet of office space in Terminal 3, Concourse F, Ramp Level to continue providing airline services at FLL.
The proposed First Amendment will modify the leased premises and update certain terms and conditions in the TBLA, including updating the relocation provision and other standard County terms.
The proposed First Amendment has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
