Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE REAL PROPERTY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Broward County (“County”) Public Works and Environmental Services Department requested the assistance of the Real Property and Real Estate Development Division to facilitate the granting of an underground utility easement (the “Easement”) to Florida Power & Light Company (“FP&L”). The Easement affects a portion of County-owned property located at 1850-1950 Eisenhower Boulevard in the City of Fort Lauderdale (Folio No. 504214360010).
The County is currently constructing a restaurant adjacent to the Broward County Convention Center. The Easement will allow FP&L to install electrical infrastructure necessary to provide power to the project. Specifically, the 628 square foot easement area will accommodate underground electrical conduits leading to a transformer pad that will serve the restaurant facility.
The Easement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
