Summary Explanation/Background

THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This action amends the Agreement of Lease between Tri-Star and County (“Agreement”) to extend the term of the Agreement by five (5) years, through November 30, 2030.

On November 10, 2020 (Item No. 80), the Board approved the Agreement to allow Tri-Star to occupy approximately 5,000 square feet of County’s air cargo building facility at FLL to conduct its cargo handling services for a term of five (5) years, commencing on December 1, 2020.

The proposed First Amendment extends the term of the Agreement by five (5) years, through November 30, 2030, to allow Tri-Star to continue use of its current leasehold to support its cargo handling services at FLL.

The proposed First Amendment has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
