Board of County Commissioners’ approval is required pursuant to Florida case law for conveyance of interest in property to Broward County.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTIONS.

 

These items relate to activities in the Broward Municipal Services District (“BMSD”), formerly known as Unincorporated Broward County. The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the BMSD and provides municipal services to the area.

 

The Resolution in Motion A (Exhibit 1) will grant Broward County a Road Easement from Broward County Minority Builders Coalition, Inc. on a portion of real property located at the southeast corner of Northwest 27 Terrace and Northwest 4 Street in the Broward Municipal Services District (refer to Exhibit 2 for the Location Map). The executed Road Easement (Exhibit 3) is required to provide adequate sight distance at the intersection.

 

The Resolution in Motion B (Exhibit 4) will grant Broward County a Road Easement from Broward County Minority Builders Coalition, Inc. on a portion of real property located at the southeast corner of Northwest 27 Avenue and Northwest 15 Street in the Broward Municipal Services District (refer to Exhibit 5 for the Location Map). The executed Road Easement (Exhibit 6) is required to provide adequate sight distance at the intersection.
