Why Action is Necessary

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (Broward County Land Development Code) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

 

What Action Accomplishes

Approves a non-vehicular access line amendment adjacent to the plat, subject to staff recommendation and conditions assuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Broward County Land Development Code.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions.

 

This plat is located on 136.1 acres on the northwest corner of Pembroke Road and South University Drive in the City of Pembroke Pines.

 

The applicant is requesting to amend the existing non-vehicular access line adjacent to the plat along South University Drive:

 

1.                     To close an 80-foot opening on University Drive centered 1322 feet north of the Section Line of Section 21-51-41 (outbound lefts prohibited).

2.                     Allow a 50-foot opening with centerline located approximately 3470 feet north of the section line of Section 21-51-41 (restricted to right turns only).

3.                     Allow an 80-foot opening with centerline located approximately 2500 feet north of the section line of Section 21-51-41.

 

The applicant is requesting to amend the existing non-vehicular access line adjacent to the plat along Pembroke Road:

 

1.                     To close a 50-foot opening along Pembroke Road centered 1260 feet west of the East Section Line of Section 21-51-41 (restricted to right turns only).

2.                     Allow a 100-foot opening located at the west plat limits.

3.                     Allow an 80-foot opening with centerline located approximately 1660 feet west of the east section line of Section 21-51-41.
