MOTION TO APPROVE Sixth Amendment to the Agreement between Broward County and WSP USA, Inc. (WSP) for Transit Systemwide Study, Planning, and Preliminary Design (RFP No. TRN2120307P1), increasing the maximum nottoexceed amount by $3,000,000 (from $17,095,000 to $20,095,000) and extending the term for 24 additional months, from March 8, 2027, to March 8, 2029; authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to execute the amendment; and authorizes the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the agreement as amended.

Why Action is Necessary
County Commission approval or delegation of authority is required to approve amendments to agreements in excess of the award authority of the Director of Purchasing provided for in the Broward County Procurement Code.
What Action Accomplishes
Approves the Sixth Amendment to the referenced agreement, authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to execute it on behalf of the County, and authorizes the County Administrator to take certain administrative and budgetary actions regarding the amended agreement.

This item supports the County Commission’s Connected Community Goal of “Cooperatively Creating an Efficient and Accessible Regional Intermodal Transportation Network”.
