Summary Explanation/Background
THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE RISK MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This Second Amended and Restated Agreement ("Agreement") is between Broward County and the Broward County Property Appraiser for the provision of workers' compensation coverage for qualifying Property Appraiser employees. The parties previously entered into an Interlocal Agreement for this purpose, which was last amended and restated in 2020. The Agreement further amends and restates the prior agreement to continue coverage under updated terms and conditions.
The Agreement will remain in effect through September 30, 2028, and may be renewed for up to two additional one-year terms, at the County's option.
