Summary Explanation/Background
Pursuant to the Annual Audit Plan, we conducted an audit of the Port Everglades Crane Section.
Our audit objectives were to determine whether Crane operations are conducted in an efficient, effective, and appropriate manner; to determine whether Crane operations are handled in accordance with laws, rules, and regulations; and to determine whether Crane operations and contractors are in compliance with contractual requirements.
We conclude that, except as noted in this report, Crane operations are conducted in an efficient, effective, and appropriate manner, are handled in accordance with laws, rules, and regulations, and Crane operations and contractors are in compliance with contractual requirements. Opportunities for Improvement are included in the report.
We appreciate the cooperation and assistance provided by the Port Administration and Crane Section staff throughout our audit process.
