Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT, AND THE HOUSING AND URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.
The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 376 mid-rise units and 2,478 square feet of commercial use on approximately 2.81 acres located on the west side of Federal Highway/U.S. 1, between Sunrise Boulevard and Northeast 13 Street, in the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Planning Council staff has received written documentation from the City of Fort Lauderdale that this plat is being processed under Florida Statutes 125.01055, also known as the Live Local Act.
The Development Review Report is attached (see Exhibit 1).
