Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (Broward County Land Development Code) requires plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 470 mid-rise units and 6,000 square feet of commercial use on approximately 4 acres located on the northeast corner of Dania Beach Boulevard and Gulfstream Road, in the City of Dania Beach.

 

The development shown on this plat is not subject to Policy 2.16.2 of the Broward County Land Use Plan, because no additional dwelling units were added when the Land Use Plan Amendment was approved by the Board.

 

The Development Review Report is attached (Exhibit 1).
