Action was taken to accept the FDOC CDBG-MIT Agreement No. MT124 via Resolution No. 22-1874, Agenda Item No. 27 on December 13, 2022.

Summary Explanation/Background
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) $633,485,000 through the Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program. This funding supports long-term mitigation efforts for federally declared disasters in 2016 and 2017. Grants were competitively awarded to HUD-designated Most Impacted and Distressed (MID) areas, with a focus on benefiting low-to-moderate income (LMI) communities.

The DEO-now the Florida Department of Commerce (DOC)-allocated the funds as follows:

? Critical Facility Hardening Program: $75,000,000
? General Planning Support Program: $20,000,000
? General Infrastructure Program: $475,000,000
? State Planning and Administration: $63,485,000
