MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on November 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East to consider adoption of a proposed Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO FEE SCHEDULES; AMENDING SECTIONS 40.1 AND 40.23 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE (“ADMINISTRATIVE CODE”) TO REVISE THE LAND DEVELOPMENT PERMIT APPLICATION FEE SCHEDULE AND THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT FEE SCHEDULE; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The Broward County Charter requires the posting of notice and a public hearing for adoption of amendments to the Broward County Administrative Code.

Enables the setting of a public hearing during which the Board of County Commissioners (“Commission”) may consider adopting the proposed Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code (“Administrative Code”).

Summary Explanation/Background
The proposed Resolution amends Sections 40.1 and 40.23 of the Administrative Code to update certain fees charged for development and environmental permitting services. The Housing and Urban Planning Division conducted a fee study to evaluate the costs associated with providing development-related services and recommends revisions to its existing fees to more accurately reflect the County’s costs of providing those services.
