THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ REAL PROPERTY AND REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Broward County ("County") is the holder of a Pedestrian Easement (recorded in Official Records Book 20781, Page 361) ("Easement") on certain portions of real property owned by South Broward Hospital District ("Owner") located at 12235 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, Florida 33026 ("Property"). The Property is located adjacent to Flamingo Road and Pines Boulevard, which are functionally classified as State jurisdictional roads. In connection with the construction of the Memorial Hospital West Cancer Institute, Owner is required to dedicate a portion of the public sidewalk to FDOT, which is located within the County's Pedestrian Easement. FDOT plans to add a ramp to make ADA accommodations to the dedicated sidewalk area for public transportation purposes.
