Summary Explanation/Background

At the request of District 7, who will be representing the Board at the SelectFlorida’s Export Sales Mission, authorization is requested for Broward County’s Intergovernmental Affairs Director, Marty Cassini, to travel from November 29, 2025, to December 6, 2025, on the trade mission and business development trip to South Africa in addition to the staff representative from the Office of Economic and Small Business Development. District 7 Commissioner was appointed as the representative from the Board on September 16, 2025 (Item No. 70).

Broward County (“County”) enjoys unique advantages that position it as a global hub for both domestic and international trade opportunities. Participation in the Mission will support ongoing efforts to strengthen the local business economy, sustain low unemployment, and expand international trade opportunities.
