Why Action is Necessary

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (“Land Development Code”) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

 

What Action Accomplishes

Approves a plat modification subject to staff recommendations ensuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Land Development Code.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

Parcel A on this plat is located on 7.51 acres on the west side of Northwest 103 Avenue, between Northwest 50 Street and Northwest 53 Street, in the City of Sunrise. The existing plat note restricts Parcel A to community facility uses consisting of three open-air roller hockey skating rinks and accessory uses. Parcel B is restricted to general industrial use and office use.

 

The applicant is requesting to amend the note on the face of the plat for Parcel A only by restricting it to 50,200 square feet of industrial use.

 

The Development Review Report is attached (Exhibit 1).
