THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, AND THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Broward County Transportation Department (BCT) requests authorization for six employees to travel to Gainesville, Florida from February 14 - 16, 2025, to attend the 2025 Florida Triple Crown Roadeo (Exhibit 1).
The Florida Triple Crown Roadeo is an annual event that tests the skills of Bus Operators and Maintenance Technicians from all over the state of Florida. The winners of both the Fixed Route Bus and Maintenance Technician competitions will be sent at no expense to compete in the 2025 APTA International Bus Roadeo, to be held April 4 - 8, 2025 in Austin, Texas.
