Why Action is Necessary

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (“Land Development Code”) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Approves a plat modification subject to staff recommendations ensuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Land Development Code.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE PUBLIC WORKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT, AND THE HOUSING AND URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

This plat is located on 22.13 acres, south of West McNab Road between North Andrews Avenue and Interstate 95 (I-95), in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The applicant is requesting to remove all the notations relating to the wetland restoration area and wetland preservation areas on the face of the plat and subsequent amended agreements. This request also includes approval to use a non-standardized agreement, approved by the County Attorney’s Office, to remove the notations from the plat.

 

The Development Review Report is attached (see Exhibit 1).
