Summary Explanation/Background

On June 6, 2023 (Item No. 51), the Broward County Board of County Commissioners approved an Agreement between Broward County (“County”) and the City of Fort Lauderdale (“City”) authorizing the transfer of real property adjacent to the Broward County Main Library (“Property”) from the City to the County through a quitclaim deed.

The quitclaim deed conveying the Property contained errors in the Property’s legal description.  Acceptance of this Corrective Quit Claim Deed will rectify the errors on the legal description of the Property and clear the chain of title.

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
