MOTION TO APPROVE Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Agreement 6N210 between Florida Department of Law Enforcement ("FDLE") and Broward County in the amount of $277,085 to Broward County to purchase equipment, supplies, and produce an informational video for the Juvenile Assessment Center during the FDLE award period of October 1, 2024, through March 31, 2026; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Agreement.

THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action supports the Commission's value of "building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives" and the goal of "delivering accessible human services that holistically address the whole person collaboratively and compassionately." FDLE funding allows Broward County to meet designated community needs for the FDLE award period of October 1, 2024, through March 31, 2026.
