Summary Explanation/Background

Under the County’s current contracts for security guard services, a security guard providing services at a County facility does not receive pay for a holiday unless the security guard actually works on the holiday. In contrast, County staff are paid for these holidays despite not being required to work on such days. This item would permit the Commission to discuss and provide direction to the County Administrator regarding this issue.
