Summary Explanation/Background
The proposed Ordinance amends various sections of Chapter 39 of the Broward County Code of Ordinance related to the Landlord Registration, Minimum Standards, and Residential Rental Property Inspections Program ("Program") to (i) eliminate the requirement for the issuance of a paper Residential Rental Certificate and (ii) streamline the Program's enforcement provisions.

An application for registration in the Program will be required for each residential rental unit, notwithstanding the elimination of the requirement for a Residential Rental Certificate.
