A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO THE NORTH PERRY AIRPORT COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE; AMENDING SECTIONS 12.35, 12.36, 12.37, 12.38, AND 12.40 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ("ADMINISTRATIVE CODE"); REINSTATING THE NORTH PERRY AIRPORT COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

A Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish notice of public hearing to consider adoption of the Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners ("Board") at its meeting of October 7, 2025.

Summary Explanation/Background
The North Perry Airport Community Advisory Committee ("Committee") was originally formed to make recommendations to the Broward County Aviation Department ("BCAD") about community interests and topics concerning the North Perry Airport ("Airport") including, but not limited to, the development, improvement, maintenance, operation, and safety of the Airport, and the Airport's compatibility with the surrounding communities.
The Committee automatically sunset on December 31, 2024. The Board approved sunset recommendations on June 10, 2025 (Item No. 23), which noted the potential reinstatement of this Committee.
