Summary Explanation/Background
We have conducted a Follow-up of our Special Review of the Broward County Preventive Health Care Screenings Pilot Project (Report No. 24-16). The objective of our review was to determine the implementation status of our previous recommendations.
We conclude that of the 17 recommendations in the memorandum to the County Administrator dated April 26, 2024, ten recommendations were implemented, three recommendations were partially implemented, and four recommendations were not implemented. The status of each of our recommendations is presented in this follow-up report.
We appreciate the cooperation and assistance provided by the County Administration, Human Services Department, Office of Public Communications, test providers, and the Pilot Project Consultant and Administrator staff throughout our review process.
