Why Action is Necessary

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (Broward County Land Development Code) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

 

What Action Accomplishes

Approves a non-vehicular access line amendment adjacent to the plat, subject to staff recommendation and conditions ensuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Broward County Land Development Code.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions.

 

This plat is located on 18.4 acres on the south side of Oakland Park Boulevard, between Pine Island Road/Northwest 88 Avenue and Northwest 91 Avenue, in the City of Sunrise. The applicant is requesting to amend the existing non-vehicular access line by increasing a 26-foot opening at the east plat limit to a 42-foot opening and previously approved conditions associated with roadway improvements that are applicable to the proposed Non-Vehicular Access Line.

 

The Development Review Report is attached (Exhibit 1).
