Summary Explanation/Background
The Fiscal Year 2026 total personnel cap is based on the Fiscal Year 2026 Adopted Budget. The Fiscal Year 2026 total personnel cap of 6,676 reflects a net decrease of 159 positions compared to the Revised Fiscal Year 2025 personnel cap (Exhibit 1). The 9 positions added, and 168 positions abolished from the personnel cap is briefly described below. (Intra-department transfers and eliminated positions are not described in detail).
Operating Positions
County Administration (two positions abolished total) One position is abolished from the County Administration section. Office of Management and Budget - one position is abolished.
Libraries, Parks and Cultural (two new positions and 28 positions abolished total) Libraries - 15 positions are abolished from Libraries division. Parks - Two positions are added to support Hollywood North Beach Park's mooring field operations and thirteen positions are abolished from the Parks division.
Public Works and Environmental Services (one new position, two positions transferred out and 51 abolished positions total) Administration - three positions are abolished.
