A Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish notice of public hearing to consider adoption of the Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners (“Commission”) at its meeting of May 26, 2026.

Summary Explanation/Background

Chapter 2026-63, Laws of Florida, effective July 1, 2026, establishes new regulations governing building permits and inspections performed by private providers, as well as the associated fees. Section 40.27 of the Broward County Administrative Code must be updated in order to be consistent with the new State requirements.
