Motion A is necessary to waive the requirements and procedures of Section 18.43 of the Administrative Code related to naming County-owned property. Motion B is required to permit the Commission to adopt a Resolution effecting the naming.

Summary Explanation/Background
This item permits the Commission to consider naming Courtroom 5165 after the proposed “namee” in recognition of the individual’s exemplary public service as part of the Broward County legal community. The proposed Resolution will be revised prior to or during the Commission meeting to identify the proposed “namee.”
As Motion A seeks to waive an Administrative Code provision, approval requires a majority plus one of the Commission members.
