Strauss, P.A. d/b/a Strauss Construction, DLS Prestressed, Inc., Nash Mechanical & Fire Contractors II, Inc. d/b/a South Shore Plumbing, Sandcastles at the Beach, LLC, and Stacey A. Baytarian (“Defendants”) were engaged in construction activities in connection with the redevelopment of a residential property in Lighthouse Point, Florida. During the installation of auger pilings, concrete was negligently introduced into the County’s main gravity sewer line, causing significant damage to the County’s sewer infrastructure.
