MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on October 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East to consider adoption of a proposed Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, THE CLIMATE CHANGE TASK FORCE, AND THE BROWARD COUNTY HOMELESS CONTINUUM OF CARE BOARD; AMENDING SECTIONS 12.3, 12.24, AND 12.153 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE (“ADMINISTRATIVE CODE”); AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The Broward County Charter requires the posting of notice and a public hearing for adoption of amendments to the Broward County Administrative Code.

Summary Explanation/Background
On April 28, 2026, the Board directed the County Attorney’s Office to draft appropriate amendments to the Administrative Code in light of the 2026 Session of the Florida Legislature. The proposed Resolution amends applicable provisions of Chapter 12 of the Administrative Code, regarding certain Broward County advisory boards, to comply with those legislative changes, as well as general housekeeping updates.
