Board approval of the Performing Arts Center Authority (“PACA”) budget is required pursuant to Section 6(1) of Chapter 2005-335, Laws of Florida (“PACA’s Special Act”).

Approves PACA’s budget in accordance with the requirements of PACA's Special Act.

Summary Explanation/Background

CULTURAL DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTIONS.

 

This item supports the Board's Healthy Community Goal of cultivating community culture, arts, recreation, and life-long learning.

 

This motion approves PACA's Fiscal Year 2025 budget (Exhibit 1) in the amount of $62,547,730. Section 6(1) of PACA’s Special Act requires the Board and the City of Fort Lauderdale (“City”) to approve PACA’s annual budget. PACA's Board approved its Fiscal Year 2025 budget on September 5, 2024 (Resolution No. 2024-09-01). The City approved PACA’s budget at City’s commission meeting on October 1, 2024 (Item No. 24-0903).
