MOTION TO APPROVE Second Amendment to the Agreement between Broward County and Siemens Industry, Inc., for Siemens Building Automation and Technical Support (BLD2123048A1 f/k/a BLD2122400A1), reinstating and retroactively extending the term of the Agreement effective February 1, 2026, for an additional 42 months, with the option to further extend the term of the Agreement for up to two additional one-year renewal periods through July 31, 2031, and increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $5,616,293 for a new total not-to-exceed amount of $9,510,009 through July 31, 2031.

Why Action is Necessary
Pursuant to Section 21.53(a) of the Procurement Code, unless otherwise provided by law or excepted therein, a County contract shall not exceed five (5) years in duration, inclusive of any renewals or extensions provided for in the contract, without the express approval of the Board.
What Action Accomplishes
Allows for the reinstatement and extension of the term of the Agreement to allow for continued Building Automation and Technical Support at various County facilities.
