Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with Section 20.28(7) of the Broward County Administrative Code and Section 2.1.1(D) of the County Administrative Policies and Procedures, Board approval is required for Commission staff travel outside of Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties if the cost exceeds $1,000 per person or if the duration of the travel exceeds three days.

Provides the required Board approval for District 9 staff to attend a statewide educational and legislative event, in compliance with the County's travel policy.
