THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION
The City of Wilton Manors City Commission approved the installation and maintenance of 24 license plate readers to enhance crime prevention and detection. As part of this initiative, the Wilton Manors Police Department has requested to place one of these devices along the edge of a Broward County-owned property at the southeast corner of Wilton Manors Drive and NE 19th Street. While this property is not part of the County's Park system, it is maintained by the Parks and Recreation Division and commonly known as Middle River Park (formerly Site 92).
This item seeks Board approval of a License Agreement between Broward County and City of Wilton Manors for License Plate Reader at Middle River Park (the "License Agreement"). The License Agreement would grant the City of Wilton Manors permission to access and use the designated premises, solely for the placement and use of the license plate reader.
