MOTION TO APPROVE Fifth Amendment to Agreement between Broward County and UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company, for Group Dental Preferred Provider Organization (DPPO) Insurance, Request for Proposals (RFP) No. GEN2116451P2, extending the term of the agreement on a month-to-month basis for up to a maximum of six months beginning January 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026, with no change in premium rates; and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same.

Why Action is Necessary
Motions A and B: In accordance with the Broward County Administrative Code, Section 21.53, a County contract shall not exceed five years in duration without the express approval of the Board.
What Action Accomplishes
Motions A and B: Extends the current agreement term for employee-paid Dental DHMO and Dental PPO coverage for up to six months through June 30, 2026, with no change in premium rates, and authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to execute same.
