AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TEXT; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TEXT RELATED TO THE WATER MANAGEMENT ELEMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

A public hearing is required to enact an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.

Adopts an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan and its Water Supply Facilities Work Plan to incorporate changes needed due to adoption of the 2023-2024 Lower East Coast Water Supply Plan by the South Florida Water Management District and general updates.

Previous Action Taken
On June 10, 2025, the Board initiated amendments to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan and its Water Supply Facilities Work Plan to incorporate any changes needed due to adoption of the 2023-2024 Lower East Coast Water Supply Plan by the South Florida Water Management District and general updates.
On December 9, 2025, the Board transmitted the proposed amendments to designated state review agencies.
On February 17, 2026, the Board set a public hearing to adopt the proposed amendment.
