MOTION TO APPROVE State-Funded Grant Agreement No. T0414 between Broward County and the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management in the amount of $8,875 to update hazardous material facility site plan data for the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same; and authorize the County Administrator to execute any documentation required to receive the grant and amendments that do not increase financial obligation on the County, subject to review and approval as to legal sufficiency by the County Attorney's Office, and to take the necessary administrative and budgetary actions for the implementation of the grant award.

Board approval is necessary to enter into the Agreement with State of Florida Division of Emergency Management and accept the grant award.
What Action Accomplishes
This action will allow for the continued provision of funds to enhance emergency management functions in support of agency collection, analysis, processing and maintenance of hazardous material facility site plan information.

Pursuant to the planning requirements of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986, Title III, "Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act of 1986" and the Florida Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act, Florida Statutes, Chapter 252, Part II, the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management provides funding to perform a hazards analysis and update data regarding hazardous materials within Broward County.
